History

Bolinger Family Farm was first established in 1968 when Harold & Rosemary Bolinger (Andrew's grandparents) bought the farm. This farm has only even been in two different families: with our family now being the 4th family to reside here. Harold had a love of shorthorn cattle and cheviot sheep, which he raised with care and dedication akin to pets. They involved their children in 4-H, showing the livestock. Harold's passion was passed on to his grandson Andrew, who with his wife Sarah operate the farm today.

Disaster struck the farm and many surrounding families in the summer of 2000 with a devastating tornado. The tornado thankfully did not injury anyone of the Bolinger family, but the house was significantly damaged and the bank barn was destroyed.

However, this could not bring down the family. They soon added back on to the house and in 2015 a new bank barn was raised! The dedication to animals and continuing the environmental stewardship of the land continues on today with the Bolinger Family.
